The Wiener Holocaust Library is the world’s oldest and Britain’s largest collection on the Holocaust and Nazi era. Based in London’s Russell Square, the Library provides public access to its historic and contemporary holdings, providing its users with the tools they need to put the past at the service of the future. At this event, you will be shown the archives as well as the sensitive and inspiring architecture of the Reading and Exhibition Rooms, by Barbara Weiss Architects. You will hear a short talk from the Library’s Director about how this remarkable institution came into being , and will be introduced to a selection of unique items from the collections. Introduced by Mr Frank Harding, a longstanding trustee of the Library, this event will take place on Thursday, 7 October 2021, beginning at 6.30pm and finishing at 8.30pm. Refreshments will be served and there will be opportunities to ask questions and engage with members of the Library staff team.
